From a young age, I have always loved helping people. When I started my company, I did so with that same passion inspired by my innate desire to help bring people's dreams to fruition. Today, I help businesses “b. mor” successful through helping them discover their full potential. Here's some ways I do that: 

  • Inspire and lead business owners from diverse industries to discover their full potential through aligning their marketing goals with their overall business goals.

  • Grant businesses better brand awareness and visibility through local and national media coverage in the form of a comprehensive public relations strategy.

  • Event creation and management. Whether it be an event to honor employees, current clients or to meet and greet new prospective clients, I handle all of the details including vendor coordination, marketing communications, and all of the details in between.

  • Brand campaign management from initial conception of a new idea or a campaign already in place, I will provide timelines, projections, execution of tasks and goals, and handle overall communication tasks.

  • Collaboration with other members of an already existing marketing or management team to provide insight on ideas, concepts, vision casting, and execution of tasks. 

  • Content writing in the form of writing for blog posts, websites, marketing collateral, branding, and extensive marketing campaigns.

  • Creation of a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with the client’s overall business plan. Complete with a competitive analysis, research, company deep dive and an execution timeline. 

  • Social media management through organic posts, paid posts, page creation, page management, etc.

  • Management of sponsorships and community relations.

  • Created and executed extensive marketing communication campaigns targeting existing customers and potential customers through print and digital marketing.

  • Creative lead on editorial features and advertisements with Design NY Magazine and N2 Publishing.

  • Managed social media platforms and company websites/blog through updating relevant content.

  • Led event-based marketing within the community and executed our sponsorship of the Rochester City Ballet and involvement with Habitat for Humanity. 

  • Directed all photography and videography campaigns documenting the completion of multi-million-dollar construction projects around the Finger Lakes region.

  • Managed relationships with outside product vendors and coordinated promotional campaigns.

  • Represented the company through involvement in local Chamber of Commerce events.

Regional Communications Coordinator, The National MS Society 

November 2013- April 2015

  • Managed public relations for all Walk MS and Bike MS fundraising events in 12 media markets within the states of Texas and New Mexico.

  • Created and managed media databases for each of the walk and bike events in the states of Texas and New Mexico. As a result, we received more than 180 media hits promoting the walk and bike events in Texas and New Mexico in fiscal year 2014.

  • Developed and distributed media materials to support departments (i.e. media advisories, press releases, pitch stories, PSA’s, web verbiage, print publication articles, etc.)

  • Tracked and created reports of event media coverage resulting from pitch stories and PR efforts. 

  • Created and managed specific, monthly, social media campaigns for each walk and bike event within the states of Texas & New Mexico.

  • Collaborated with the marketing team members to create and implement public relations and social media campaigns for Walk MS, Bike MS, Community Development and Strategic Philanthropy events.

  • Contributed to quarterly MS Connection publication distributed to over 35,000 individuals diagnosed with MS in the South Central region. Role included interviewing candidates and writing feature stories.

The Company of Others (Formerly FKM)

September 2013-November 2013

  • Composed media contact lists and e-mail pitches promoting Minute® Rice and Success® Rice products to specific target markets including: general food bloggers, male fitness bloggers, female fitness bloggers, & gluten-free bloggers. Promoted fall 2013 Success® Rice Sweepstakes in conjunction with iVillage through posting on sweepstake website calendars as well as pitching directly to select blogger lists.

  • Performed research of specific targeted demographics for Carapelli Olive Oil event participation.

  • Assisted in managing public relations for two of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP’s top fundraising events including an event titled “A Night Out” benefitting Dress for Success Houston and the annual Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, 2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition.

  • Assisted in composing a strategic pitch for potential automotive account which included running audits on various media outlets and their coverage of specific elements within the automotive industry as well as composition of a local and national media contact list.

  • Led social media efforts for high-end design/remodeling firm, quadrupling number of Facebook page “Likes” over six months, as well as establishing pages on Twitter and Pinterest; wrote marketing copy and shot photos for pages.

  • Revised business’ e-mail marketing campaigns with new graphics and improved content, doubling “open rate” of emails over 6 month time period.

  • Produced company blog, writing and posting “Decorating Tips of the Week” and more.

  • Managed direct-mail marketing campaigns and door-to-door marketing efforts. Wrote copy for mailings and conducted sales promotions through social media.

  • Organized and represented company at community events to increase name recognition of business; managed fair booths, giveaway products, and more.

  • Acted as liaison between college’s marketing/media relations department and local media.

  • Wrote and distributed weekly press releases; interviewed students for campus videos, posted videos to college website and YouTube.

  • Managed press opening for college math and science center; created and wrote press kit materials; directed press during event; handled media questions; secured subjects for media interviews; and ensured event ran smoothly.

  • Led “Photo Voice” project, in which homeless people in the community documented daily life via photos.

  • Coordinated camera donation from Kodak.

  • Authored media releases and secured interviews in local media; wrote project’s making-of video script.

  • Assisted homeless documentarians with cropping photos and writing captions for exhibit.

  • Assisted professor with research into “Media Marathoning” – reading or watching series of books, movies, or television shows in rapid succession.

  • Conducted focus groups with subjects regarding “The Hunger Games” book and film series 

  • Contributed to study’s findings that “marathoning” is used as form of therapy to escape real life.
