Where it all began…

When it was time to decide on a college, I knew one thing for sure...I wanted to pursue my love of communications. Ever since I was a little girl, you could find me with a round hair brush in hand, delivering the nightly news. At first, I thought for sure I would major in broadcasting but then realized the demand and the difficulty in finding a work/life balance in the midst of all the crazy hours. That's when I started exploring my options and discovered that Nazareth College had the perfect program that combined my love of writing with my deep rooted passion for communications.

I studied rhetorical theory and wrote about 1,500 papers on all the different historical rhetoricians but then, I also took some amazing media classes with my awesome professor, Dr. Perks. These media relations classes lit a fire in my soul and I wanted to learn more about public relations. In typical Bre fashion, I marched on down to the Nazareth College marketing department and asked for an internship! I worked as an intern writing blog posts, managing press clips, assisting with the organization of press conferences, writing press releases and that's when I realized that this was my calling. Fast forward to graduation, marrying my husband and moving to Houston, Texas and I started working for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as their Regional Communications Coordinator. In this role, I managed all of the public relations for the bike/walk fundraising events across the states of Texas and New Mexico. I absolutely loved my time there, but, went on to pursue working as the Marketing Director for my family's construction company(that's a whole different story for a whole other blog post :)

Nonetheless, all of these stepping stones led me to where I am today. I began my business with the vision of helping small to medium sized businesses align their overall business goals with a specific marketing strategy. One of my favorite pieces of that strategy is PR. Working alongside clients who are rarely, if ever, in the spotlight and seeing the increase in web traffic and sales because they're finally being recognized for their amazing product or service, is the most rewarding job ever! I love helping them share their story in an engaging manner while providing measurable results.
