Mama Steph’s Famous Cinnamon Rolls

You’ll hear about “Mama Steph” a lot because I truly have the best mom in the universe and she taught me from a very young age how to bake! We both have an endless sweet tooth and share a passion for baking. These cinnamon rolls are extra special to me because she has made them every year on my Birthday for me. Even when I was in Houston, she was there—cinnamon rolls hot and ready in hand. Their delicious and gooey goodness leaves you coming back for more even if they’re days old and cold!

Ingredients:

2 loaves of Rhodes frozen bread dough (thawed)

1 stick of butter

Cinnamon

Sugar

Raisins

Confectionery sugar

Vanilla

Sweetened condensed milk

Instructions:

Thaw the 2 loaves of bread dough.

Mix 1/2 cup of sugar and 1-2 tbs of cinnamon together in a bowl.

Melt 2 Tbs butter.

Roll out the bread dough loaves with a rolling pin.

Pour half of the butter onto each rolled out loaf.

Sprinkle each with the cinnamon and sugar, over the butter.

Add raisins and nuts.

Roll the dough lengthwise to form a long and skinny(ish) roll.

Cut about 8-10 circular rolls per each roll of dough.

Place them cut side up on a greased glass pan.

Put wax paper over the top and refrigerate over night.

Remove from fridge and dump 1 can of sweetened condescend milk over the risen rolls.

Place in the oven on 350 degrees for 30-35 mins. You’ll know they are done when you tap on the tops of the rolls and they sound hollow.

Let them cool.

Glaze: Mix confectionery sugar , melted butter, vanilla and milk.

Drizzle evenly over the top of the rolls and enjoy!
